If elected as an MP, you can use your voice and influence to improve treatment, care and support for millions of people in the UK who live with a neurological condition.

Neurological conditions are the leading cause of disability worldwide and affect 17,000 people on average in a UK Parliamentary constituency.

How you can help

Your support as a #NeuroChampion has never been more important. By becoming a #NeuroChampion, you can:

  • Show your support for thousands of your constituents by being an advocate in Parliament. Show your commitment to those affected by neurological conditions by working towards a healthcare system that is responsive, compassionate, and inclusive now and for future generations.
  • Lead with compassion and dedication. Your support for individuals with neurological conditions will demonstrate a commitment to the health and wellbeing of people, families and carers in your constituency and wider society.
  • Use your voice through debates, Parliamentary questions and in the press to improve support and services for people affected by neurological conditions in your constituency and across the country.
  • Work with the Neurological Alliance and our extensive network to meet people with neurological conditions in your area, develop compelling evidence for your work in Parliament and learn more about the realities facing constituents and services.
  • Support innovation and research. Neuroscience is one of the most compelling areas of research. Many neurological conditions that were not treatable in the past are now treatable. Many neurological conditions which are untreatable now will have treatment options in future. Help build an environment that supports success in neuroscience research.
  • Help build more inclusive communities. By pushing for policies that address the unique needs of people with neurological conditions, you can foster environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
