The Neurological Alliance worked with partners including the Thames Valley Strategic Clinical Network (SCN) to produce a new commissioning brief for local commissioners, to help them to improve the services provided in community settings to people diagnosed with a long-term neurological condition. The Department’s response is contained in the April 2016 Treasury Minute.

Page 11–13 of this Treasury Minute sets out the Government’s response to the Public Account Committee’s 2016 progress review recommendations. The response rejects a number of the PAC’s recommendations.

The Neurological Alliance produced a short briefing summarising the key facts, statistics and issues relating to neurology services in 2016.

In 2012 the Public Accounts Committee carried out a review of services for people with neurological conditions, making six recommendations aimed at improving services and outcomes. This report reviews progress against these recommendations.
